Our trip to Castle Espie

5th Jun 2017

We had a great day at Castle Espie wetland and wildfowl centre. We enjoyed feeding the ducks and were surprised at how some of the ducks took the grain from our hands. We used nets to do some pond dipping. We caught some very interesting creatures, such as froglets and a newt tadpole.  We took part in a science workshop on the water cycle. John our guide explained how little fresh water there is in our world. He made us think about how important it is to look after water and not contaminate it.  We finished the day with a play in the park. It was a super fun day.
