Our first topic this year in P7 is wind and it just so happened that we were able to witness a storm right on our door step. Storm Ali brought winds that reached 70mph and caused quite a bit of damage and destruction in her path. The storm chasers in us couldn't resist using the anemometer to record the wind speed scale - which at its peak, reached a massive 9 on the Beaufort scale! Im glad we were able to measure it from the safety of our classroom!
