Primary 3 conducted a STEM experiment to explore which projectile would travel furthest using a model mangonel. This experiment linked with our Castle topic and the children really enjoyed testing their hypotheses and finding out the results. Most pupils thought the Blu Tack would win (as you can hear in the video clip) but it was in fact the Christmas Tree Bauble that travelled furthest. The class discovered that a projectile has to be the right weight for the mangonel to work effectively.
