Making Catapults
16th Sep 2021
As part of our Forest Schools we are studying an Apache Folk Tale about how fire came to the world. in the story a cunning fox uses a cedar tree to escape over a wall.
In our activity this morning we were investigating how to make catapults. We are planning to put them to the test next week.
UPDATE
So in our next forest schools session we tested our catapults to see how far we could send our balloon foxes. 🦊. Some of the catapulting was amazing and we had to rescue foxes from the nursery garden. We used measuring tapes and found the winning team (Chloe and Phoebe) whose fox went 11.5 metres. Great work P7!
