Visit to Northern Ireland Forest Schools at Clandeboye Estate

Mrs Seeds completed training last year to become a Forest School leader for our school.  As part of that we were invited to visit the home of Northern Ireland Forest Schools at Clandeboye Estate in Bangor.  
We met Richard and Lorraine at the stable buildings and they introduced themselves to us with a couple of games.  Then they walked us through the estate to get to Robin Wood.  They have an established area which they use for school groups and after schools and we were able to explore and play during the day.
We built dens that had to be waterproof, tested by Richard! Then we made sparks to light fires and cook our own s’mores. We also had a great time playing in the wood. Hide and seek being the most favourite activity!
